I'd like to invite you to the 2nd Annual 'Strike Out' Hunger Coed Softball Tournament, with all proceeds benefiting the Gallia County Snack Pack organization.
The tournament will take place on September 28th, 2014 with the first games at 1:00 pm. The tournament will take place at the Ted Perry Ball Fields near the Water Treatment plant (2020 Chestnut Street Gallipolis, OH 45631)
The games with be soft pitch, hit your own .44 core, 375 compression, 12in. softballs, played round-robin style with seeded single elimination. Brackets drawn on Saturday, September 27th.
Each team will consist of 10 players on the fiel...d with a maximum of two alternates. Must be at least 4 women on the field at all times per team. Each player must be at least 12 years of age. All players (or guardian/s if player is under 18) will be required to sign a media release and medical waiver before playing.
The cost per team is $100. Each team must RSVP by sending an e-mail to halley8236@yahoo.com or calling 740-645-8224.
Due to time restrictions, only the first ten teams will be accepted to play in the tournament. Also, an hour limit will be applied to all games to keep the tournament running on schedule.
Win by mercy rule if:
20 run lead after 4 innings
15 run lead after 5 innings
10 run lead after 6 innings
If you have a few friends, but not a complete team, e-mail me or post on this page and we will try to match you up with somebody else!
Small concessions will also be available.
Please remember that this is JUST a charity softball tournament, not the World Championship game, and bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated. And of course, no drugs/alcohol will be allowed on the premises.
