FUNDRAISING FOR A CAUSE: My husband and I lost our son to stillbirth July 26th 2017. Our time with our son was the greatest memories and only memories that we will have to hold of our son Connor. Our local hospital had a CuddleCot donated by another family of loss and it was the greatest gift we could have ever received. We were allowed 12 hours with our son. If it wasn't for this wonderful machine our time would have been limited to only a few hours. My husband and I want to extend this gift to other families in their time of loss. We are raising money to help donate CuddleCots to hospitals in and around the state to help provide time for grieving parents and families with their angel babies. Any extra funds will go to adopting a hospital or hospitals that need Poppy plates. A free ceramic memorial platter that is made for every baby born silent. It is a wonderful gift for all grieving parents and families. The softball tournament is co-ed. Each team must have at least 3 girls. Connor's Cuddlecot Fall Classic will be held at the North Complex ball fields in Batesville AR. It starts at 11am and will run all day. Its double elimination with trophies going to 1st -3rd place. All donations can be made through our face book page Connor's Cuddlecot Fall Classic or to any Citizens Bank in the account we have set up in our son’s honor. There is a 200$ team entry fee and each team should provide at least one person to umpire in case a relief umpire is needed during the other teams’ games. We will choose a hospital to receive the CuddleCot closer to time of the tournament as well as those who receive the Poppy Plates. Last year we were able to donate a CuddleCot to Mercy Health in Rodgers Arkansas and adopt three hospitals to be Maimie’s Poppy plates recipients. We have a silent auction set up for the tournament also. We have things that have been donated to us from businesses and other people in the town to auction off for additional funds. Thank you so much for helping us out it means the world to us. We want to break the silence and be able to help others who are going through what we have gone through as we understand the pain all too well. It will be kid friendly as we have had bounce houses donated for the day and face paintings for donations. We will have concessions also available for donations to our cause. we also have a Facebook page with more information about the tournament. |
