On behalf of PA Softball, we would like to invite your team to attend one of our events for this year. 2015 will mark our 15th year offering several qualifiers, invitationals, recreation/class “B”, and a college showcase for girl’s fastpitch teams. A few event details:
• Last year over 600 teams attended several of our events from more than 14 states and 3 Canadian provinces with several tournaments hosting more than 100 teams!
• Come play as many as 8-10 games a weekend.
• Tournament will be set up in a north/south format. This means that teams from northern states (MA, CT, NH, ME, NY, Canada, etc.) will be paired against teams from Southern states (MD, VA, DE, WV, PA, OH, etc.). It allows your team to play against teams outside your area, or wouldn’t typically have the opportunity to play
• Tournament is set up such that teams of all ability levels will be competitive for championship round play. Top seeds will play each other in a gold bracket, bottom in a silver, etc.
• We use some of the finest facilities around, and will be using several facilities that just opened.
• Tournaments are played over a 2-day weekend except 8 game events (3 day).
Late starts are available to teams traveling. Pool play into 2-game elimination. No Friday starts unless 3-day tournament.
• Several area attractions are available in the immediate area, including Hersheypark, a great family destination. Discounted tickets are available.
• Vendors on site, including helmet airbrushing, tournament photography, and tournament shirts.
• 3-day events are a cost effective way to play in a national level event, without the cost/vacation time necessary for a national.
• Speaking of Nationals, we once again have several host bids available…first come, first served. Nationals are in Northern VA this year.
• We have a hotel/area events coordinator that can help you plan your stay. This is not a forced stay requirement, rather a free service to help make things easier for your team. |
